In multifocal lenses, the optical field contains fields of view of different refraction (thus focusing at different distances) in the form of rings that surround each other. A clear image is obtained in the focused area with the effect of dynamic factors such as the illumination of the environment, the enlargement and contraction of the pupil and focusing near and far. Multifocal toric intraocular lenses are preferred in people with more than 0.75 degrees of astigmatism before surgery.
Accommodative lenses, on the other hand, have a single optical field. The sections that are connected to this optical area and fix the lens inside the eye, move the optical part of the lens (the part responsible for vision) back and forth, just like in an accordion, by focusing the eye near-far. These movements at the micron level; It provides clear vision by focusing on far, near and intermediate distances.
